5 College Spring Break Domestic Locations
You Don't Need to Travel the World to Really Get Away

By Kelci Lynn, About.com

Looking for somewhere to go for Spring Break that, while still in the United States, will feel like a world away? Check out these popular American destinations and all they have to offer -- without worrying about your passport.

  1. Miami. It's warm, it has beautiful beaches, the people are nice, the night scene is fantastic. What else could a college student want?

  2. New Orleans. Despite Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans is coming back on the scene. Find a great historical city, unlike any other in America, and do your part to help bring it back on the map.

  3. San Diego. California? In the spring? It's practically guaranteed to be beautiful. Go visit one of the world's most temperate cities. And why not take surfing lessons while you're there?

  4. New York City. There are few places better for students wanting to pack in as much as possible within a short amount of time. From shows to shopping to the club scene, it's hard to leave New York City disappointed.

  5. Las Vegas. While this might be most fun for those college students over 21 (the legal gambling age, no matter what your ID says), it is definitely worth a trip for any college student who can go. Keep a lookout for cheap hotel deals and discounts on food so you can spend your hard-earned cash on everything else the city has to offer.
