It may be the end of the semester. It may be the start of the semester, and your loan check hasn't come through. Or it may just be a rough month. Regardless, you've found yourself needing money for college -- and needing it in a hurry. Trying these 5 ways to quickly make money in college just might be what you need:
- Sell your books online or at the bookstore. Even if it's not the end or beginning of a new semester, you might still be able to find buyers for your books.
- Look for short-term work on campus. Does the Alumni Office need workers this weekend, and this weekend only? Is there a big Admissions even that needs student workers? See what's available on campus in the short-term so you can grab a paycheck in a jiffy.
- Look for short-term work off campus. Is there a large event in town that needs workers or promoters? Can you post flyers on your campus for pay? Look online or in the local or school paper for quick, off-campus employment options.
- Clean out your DVD and game collection. Are there DVDs or games you no longer watch or play? Would someone else be interested in them? Consider selling your DVDs or games online or through a posting on campus.
- Use your noggin! Can you tutor in the local community or at a local school for a few weeks? Help kids in the weeks before SAT tests? Try connecting with an area school, community organization, or parents' group to sell your services.
