For students who want the intimacy of a small college but the resources of a larger university, a college consortium can provide the benefits of both types of schools. The Colleges of the Fenway is a group of six colleges in Boston's Fenway neighborhood that collaborate to increase the academic and social opportunities of students at the participating schools. The consortium also helps the schools contain costs by sharing resources. A few of the perks for students include easy cross-registration at the member colleges, joint theatrical productions, and six-college parties and social events.

The members of the consortium have diverse missions and include a women's college, a technological institute, an art school, and a pharmacy school. All are small, four-year colleges, and together they are home to over 12,000 undergraduates and 6,500 grad students. Learn about each school below:
