You know, your mama was right: It really is important to eat breakfast. You end up having more energy and eating better (and less) throughout the day, no matter how crazy your college schedule is. But with everything else going on in school, who has the time to deal with finding something to eat as you're rushing out the door?!
If you're watching your nickels, eating a smart, healthy breakfast that you make yourself can end up saving you some serious cash. Sure, those muffins at the coffee shop are easy and tasty -- but they're also expensive and not super healthy.
If you need some fresh ideas on morning munchies, check out my list of 15 Breakfast Ideas for College Students. Because, after all, if you really want that morning muffin, it's way cheaper to make (or even buy) a bunch on your own than it is to fork over your hard-earned cash to the campus coffee shop.
(Here on the About.com College Life blog, every Thursday is "Thrifty Thursday." I'll post a tip each week about how to save money while you're in school. It might be something big; it might be something small. But given how important each nickel is, each little tip adds up, right?)
