President Obama gave a speech on July 14 at Macomb Community College (Warren, Michigan) where he discussed his proposed plans for increasing the number of American college graduates -- and, in this particular speech, his funding for community colleges in particular. Of course, all of these plans are in the hypothetical right now, but it is great to see a president so focused on higher education and so willing to support college students both going to and graduating from colleges.
You can read his speech online if you want the details, especially if you are (or are planning to be) a student at a community college.
